Over 700 YouTube videos, 430 landing pages, 170 plus podcast episodes, and 10 years of a weekly newsletter. All for what I had been putting in the work to figure out how to be a creator, but wasn't getting the results that I wanted. And so five months ago when I stopped doing solo episodes, I was asking myself the question, what's going on here?

There has to be a common thread through this, and I found it. Hi. I am Shawn Buttner, the host of The Creators That Crush podcast, and the common thread that I found throughout all of those statistics was me. I hadn't done the work I should have done 10 years ago about developing my point of view of my defendable ideas and my opinion about things.

which meant I didn't connect to people through [00:01:00] content, and that was hurting my creative business. So five months ago when I was wrestling with this, I started to do a ton of journaling. I started to work with other people, a coach, and get into the community to try to figure out what's going on and the result of all of that work.

I'm happy to say is that there's going to be some changes coming to the podcast. So I will tell you about that in the next episode called the Creator First Model. But I wanted to let you know that this is coming and this is a little bit behind the scenes of what happened. So as we go forward, if there's anything you like as I'm testing out some new formats.
